In football kit. A few years after this (obviously), he played
for Clapton FC in the Isthmian League,
and was being checked out by Millwall, before a flying centre-half landed on his knee, and condemned him
to Sunday-league status from then on. Hopes of founding a Redknapp-esque dynasty were dashed when my brother
and I both turned out to be one-footed, lazy, and extremely short-sighted (not unlike Jamie Redknapp in fact.
So much for logic. Anyway we both turned to cricket instead).
